I used FreeConferenceCall.com recently and can report that it worked well. All participants had to make a long distance call, but otherwise there were no charges. (A toll-free number can be arranged, for a fee.) There was nothing to download onto my computer. I set up an account by submitting my email, and within a minute I received an email message containing the phone number to call, the Meeting ID number, and my host PIN.
